House of Cards 1 (original Work of the American Tv Series of the Same Name)
About This Novel
Chief Whip Francis Urquhart, who played an important role in the Prime Minister's re-election campaign, thought he would serve in the cabinet, but he failed to do so. So he secretly vowed to replace the prime minister who betrayed him and destroy all his opponents. He took advantage of his ability to master cabinet secrets and the secrets of party insiders to control officials one after another. He also used Mattis Stolin, a wannabe front-line political reporter at the Daily Chronicle, to make a big fuss in the media. After winning the first battle, he immediately assigned his men to launch a large-scale encirclement and suppression of the cabinet, targeting everyone's weaknesses, eliminating opponents one after another, and clearing obstacles one after another. However, his conspiracy was slowly exposed. Can he finally ascend to the throne of prime minister, and can Mattie, who knows more and more inside stories, calmly deal with the power struggle and realize his ideals?

The first paragraph of the first chapter is amazing. Fear is the driving force for success, not respect. It is very domineering and I like it.
The content is dialogue-heavy and event-focused, but it feels too brief.
It's different from what's shown on TV
Speechless translation skills
Alas, it's expensive and poor
What the hell is this electronic version?
The two stars are because this is not complete at all. The whole book has 280,000 words, so it was abandoned after just a few words? I'm afraid the content is too sensitive. This is not the full text at all. Those guys in the comments don't think this is the end. If there are really only these 40,000 words, then this novel is just the beginning. How can it be so famous?
real politics
I watched the American TV series first and then read the book. I feel that the pace of American dramas is faster, but very real. After reading the book, I found it more exciting, maybe this is political.
Isn't it much less?
Live in the present, fear is the root of everything.
I watched the American TV series first, and then read the book. I still think the book is more exciting!
