Mummy's Curse
by (uk) Freeman
About This Novel
Archaeologist John Burlingham went to Egypt for an archaeological expedition and brought back a large number of extremely precious cultural relics, the most eye-catching of which was a precious mummy and a whole group of funerary objects. Burlingham was going to donate part of it to the British Museum. After he and his lawyer examined the mummy in front of doctors from the British Museum, he set off to visit relatives. However, he mysteriously disappeared since then. No one saw him leave, and no one picked up his luggage at the train station. What was even more bizarre was that the scarab ornament he often wore on his watch chain fell on the lawn of his brother's house. The remains of a corpse were discovered one after another in the mire and paddy fields. All of this leaves a mystery: Where did Burlingham go? What is the relationship between his disappearance and the mummy? Is the thousand-year-old Pharaoh's curse manifesting itself? Or is it a huge conspiracy?
