On the New Year's Eve, there are four frustrated and desperate people in London: the disgraced TV celebrity Martin; the middle-aged woman Maureen who takes care of her disabled adult son but has no life of her own; Jess, a girl who has been unable to get out of the psychological shadow because of the mysterious disappearance of her sister; and the American rock singer JJ, who broke up his band and broke up with his girlfriend. Four people met by chance when they attempted suicide on the rooftop of the "Penthouse" and formed a strange small group of four, thus beginning a journey of redemption to support each other, save others, and save themselves. A humorous urban light comedy, the four protagonists finally discover a heart-warming power in their seemingly hopeless lives, and thus work together to face their own lives.

Hhhh, I don't understand why Martin wanted to commit suicide, but he searched for some suicide information on the Internet. Could it be that he wanted to know that others would check his own information and then summarize the reasons for suicide?
Could it be that Jess speaks too directly, so even if she makes friends easily, she will soon annoy them? Friends need to be sincere, but sometimes it's not good to be too direct.
So why did Martin choose to jump off the building? I don't have elderly parents and don't want to play golf. Wouldn't it be nice to work and support myself? Why can't you think about it?
Alas, it happens every year, so why bother? Jess is only 18 now. What a blooming age! Be open-minded and live a good life. You will always live a wonderful life!
