About This Novel

This book is a collection of short stories. Starting in 2016, Wei Sixiao tried a new form of writing, that is, "writing biographies" for the rural women and rural men around him. A series of long or short stories show the strength of his thinking. He set three principles for himself: to be neutral and not mixed with personal emotional bias; to describe his life in outline, or to intercept a section of his life; to keep it within 6,000 words and keep it as brief as possible. The characters in his works are faces that can be seen everywhere in the rural world, but they are highly representative.
