This book is a novel written by American writer Mark Twain. It tells the story of Henry Adams, a poor American clerk and his adventures in London. Two wealthy brothers in London made a bet to see how Henry would end up within a month by lending him a million-dollar note that could not be cashed. When the one-month deadline came, Henry not only did not starve to death or be arrested, but instead became a rich man and won the heart of a beautiful lady. The article reproduces the irony and humor in the master's novels with a slightly exaggerated artistic technique, and exposes the money worship ideology of British society in the early 20th century. I really want to read the book One Million Pounds, wow wow, the Chinese version costs money, but I can't read the English version.
