Destruction (translation of a Russian-soviet Literary Classic)

About This Novel
It vividly reproduces the struggle life of the guerrillas in the Ussuri Border Region in the Far Southeast in 1919: Communist Party member Levinson led the guerrillas in a bloody battle with the vicious Japanese interventionist army and the white bandit Kolchak. Due to being outnumbered, the entire army was almost wiped out. However, the 19 surviving soldiers were not afraid of the danger and finally broke out of the encirclement. The novel carefully portrays the glorious image of Levinson, and also lashes out at Mechik's wavering betrayal of extreme bourgeois individualism. Lu Xun translated "Destruction" into Chinese and published it in 1931. Mao Zedong highly praised this novel in his "Speech at the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art".
