"Xiaopo's Birthday" takes Xiaopo, a boy living in Nanyang (that is, Singapore), and his sister Xianpo as the protagonists, and tells all kinds of interesting things in Xiaopo's life. The second half of the story is completely Xiaopo's dream, and at the same time it implies the author's ridicule of the various practical shortcomings of Nanyang society.
