The Pure Land is in the Human World
About This Novel
In the past six months, I have visited Taiwan twice, and the fresh feeling of the bustling Zhongxiao East Road, the tranquility of Central New Village, and the canopy of coconut trees on Renai Road has become warm and familiar. Whether sitting on the podium of Central University, wandering on the campus of Tunghai University at dusk, or having lunch with the blooming girls of Methodist Girls' High School amid the prayers of "Amen", I have never felt alienated. And what fills my heart is always an overwhelming family affection. There is no doubt that this green island in the Pacific is rich and wealthy. Walking through the streets and alleys, picking up shells hidden in the white sand along the winding east coast, I have never encountered a ragged beggar.
