About This Novel
During the Southern Song Dynasty, Li Xiuyuan, the son of Li Maochun, the governor of Beijing Camp, was originally an Arhat descending from the Western Heaven. He became a monk at the age of eighteen and became a monk with the Buddhist name Daoji.
