About This Novel

The second part of the series of novels "The Changes of Family" by Hebei writer Cheng Zhanxin is a companion piece to the first part, and was included in the "Literary Quality Support Project" by the Propaganda Department of the Qinhuangdao Municipal Party Committee. Synopsis of the novel: The story is about the death of the protagonist Hao Zhanren's wife Li Xia's mother Fan Yuwen in a car accident. Starting from the morning when the car accident occurred, it focuses on Fan Yuwen's hard-working life as a "mother and stepmother" and the disputes and compromises in the handling of traffic accidents. There are two main lines in the novel: one is the family tragedy caused by the traffic accident, which creates a typical image of "positive energy" of a "veteran" who is "son-in-law and son"; the other is the performance of various characters such as police officers, prosecutors and lawyers in dealing with traffic accidents. The novel has exquisite conception, rigorous structure, twists and turns in plot, vivid language and long meaning. It is a masterpiece that is close to the times, the masses, people's hearts and souls.
