About This Novel
"Dragon Kiln" is the first part of the "Wangzhuang Trilogy" written by writer Pu Zi. The story takes place during the fifty years of the late Qing Dynasty, telling the story of social innovation and change and the struggle and decline of humanity. The story of this book mainly describes a very closed and ancient village. Suddenly, Wang Shimin, a foreign man who has lost his memory but is very strong in all aspects, comes. The pottery making technology and the prototype of the commodity economy he brought, the ideas of social change he brought, and the new concepts of humanity he brought started an evenly matched struggle with the feudal clan culture represented by Wang Shili. Although, with the collapse of the symbolic dragon kiln, the burning of him, his disciples, and countless of his blood sons, everything seemed to be wiped out. However, this ancient village can never go back to the past, and what emerges is a new sun. Because, the Qing Dynasty fell and the Republic of China was established. Writer Pu Zi conducted an excavation and exploration of human nature through "Dragon Kiln", showing the strong vitality of human beings.
