About This Novel

"October" is a novella by Soviet "fellow traveler" writer Yakovlev, which was written in 1923 and describes the Moscow uprising during the October Revolution. Lu Xun began the translation in early 1929 and completed it in the late summer of the following year. It was published by Shanghai Shenzhou Guoguang Press in February 1933 and listed as one of the "Modern Literature and Art Series" (edited by Lu Xun).
