About This Novel

The poems of the Eight Dynasties selected in this book are divided into Han, Wei, Jin, Song, Qi, Liang, Chen, and Sui. They are named Qixiang after Mr. Gao Buying's "Ju Yao". Each selected poet is accompanied by a biography, either to clarify his historical achievements or to confirm his status in literary history. Each selected poem is based on the current compiled and popular version, so there are no differences in the text. In each selected poem, the words that are difficult to understand are explained, while those that are easy to understand are omitted. Comments by famous writers are included after each selected poem. However, the "Review" is not an exhaustive collection, but only compiles those who appreciate and analyze the poems as poems. Catching wind and shadows, or far-fetched explanations will be discarded and not recorded.
