About This Novel

It is indeed a Japanese horror ceiling! This book selects 7 Japanese-style thriller masterpieces from Kitou Okamoto's "The Catcher" novel. It's eerie, grotesque and romantic, and will give you chills down your spine immediately after reading it! In "The Housemaid", a girl is trapped in a strange house and dressed as a beautiful puppet. Who sneaks in at night and peeks at her sleeping face? In "The Brewmaster's Hour of Evil", people who are cursed by the Brewmaster will twist like crazy snakes... In "Cats", the old woman who was obsessed with raising cats turned into a cat before she died... In "The Half-Block", in the middle of the night when there is no one, the alarm bell rings by itself, and the red clothes are like ghosts, wandering around the streets...

A detective novel about human affairs hidden under the cover of ghosts

Personally, I came here for the unique sense of suspense of a Japanese ghost story that has no beginning or end, but I didn't expect it to be a detective novel. Although the writing is trivial, it is rich in worldly sentiments and is an excellent carrier of old culture. For this reason, it can be given four stars. The story is not cliché and is expected and reasonable. Although some details are uncomfortable, it is understandable due to the limitations of the times.
