About This Novel
In 1876, lawless gold diggers entered the war-torn American West, and Indians who were hostile to whites were ready to scalp them at any time. In a bad land full of yellow sand, two paranoid paleontologists came here to search for dinosaur fossils. They deceive each other, undermine each other, and want to find out before the other. Johnson, an ignorant Yale University student, stumbled into this melee for a stupid bet. He joined the expedition of paleontologist Marsh. But the suspicious Marsh suspected that Johnson was a spy sent by his old enemy Professor Cope and abandoned him in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After Johnson was forced to join the popular science camp, he made an astonishing discovery by accident. This put him in many crises and suffered enemies from both sides. In the town of Deadwood, which is difficult to leave safely, Johnson must fight to the death to protect his discovery.
