"The Later Biography of the Tang Dynasty" is also known as "The Biography of Xiu Xiang Xue Family General Ping Xi", "The Biography of Xiu Xiu Xiang Ping Xi", and "The Later Biography of the Tang Dynasty". The front content is the story of Xue Rengui and Xue Dingshan and their son Pingxi, and the back content is exactly the same as "The Romance of Sui and Tang Dynasties". "History of the Remaining Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties" is also known as "The Remaining Tang Dynasty in the Five Dynasties", a historical novel, edited by Li Zhuowu in the Ming Dynasty, with eight volumes and 60 chapters. In a chronological style, it describes the turbulent rise and fall of this period from the Huangchao Uprising to the Chenqiao Mutiny. It mainly writes about the major political and military struggles in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties period. It is written based on relevant stories in the new and old "Tang Shu", "History of the Five Dynasties" and folklore. The novel imitates "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" in its creation, but its achievements are much inferior. "The Romance of the Lost Tang and Five Dynasties" is widely circulated among the people and has a certain influence on the creation of novels and dramas in later generations.
