It was a blazing afternoon sun, and under the huge locust tree on the hill behind the village, a middle-aged man in red clothes and red hair, carrying two baskets on his shoulders, suddenly came. He put down the baskets and began to shout loudly: "Peach selling! Big and sweet peaches! Anyone who can taste the freshness and sweetness of my peaches will not take any money!". So everyone surrounded him, and soon they all returned in despair. Everyone commented that although the peach looked attractive in color, it tasted like an unspeakable smell of blood and was really hard to swallow. After the crowd gradually dispersed, only Zhang Laoer from the east of the village was left beside the two baskets. He was seen holding the basket tightly and stuffing peaches into his mouth, as if it was a rare delicacy in the world. He kept eating with his mouth full of juice, looking at the empty basket with misty eyes, and then looked at the middle-aged man pleadingly. A few days later, the neighbors discovered that Zhang Laoer had never been seen again since selling peaches that day.
