"War and Peace" is a novel written by Russian writer Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy and his representative work. It was written between 1863 and 1869. But the keynote of the work is religious benevolence and humanitarianism. The writer opposed the war and gave deep sympathy to the suffering of all parties in the war.
