[Publishing Topic] Face and Heart--[Ball of Suet]

[Ball of Suif] tells the story of a prostitute named Ball of Suif and three aristocratic couples on a fleeing carriage. This story leads us to think, what kind of person can be called a noble person? Is a noble person related to his identity, status, and career? The answer is obvious. A person with a noble soul should have the country in his heart, be grateful, and know how to share. Ball of Suif in the book is such a person. Although she has a humble status and although she knows that some people are talking about her behind her back, she still chooses to lend a helping hand when those who talk about her need help. On the other hand, those ladies of noble birth can force others to do things they don't want to do for their own selfish interests. They put their own interests first in their hearts. Such a comparison clearly shows how superior they are. What kind of person can be called a noble person? I think this question is worth thinking about for all of us!

I saw this book in the library when I was in junior high school. The prostitute just wanted to save everyone, but what she didn't expect was that people began to hate her after that night. A person's good or evil may change in an instant.

The author uses the unfortunate experience of the prostitute named Ball of Suif to contrast the ugly face of the bourgeoisie who sacrifices fellow countrymen for the sake of favorable value. He perfectly criticizes this decadent and dark social phenomenon and arouses indignation. I highly recommend this masterpiece, it's really good!

suet balls

I like the works of Maupassant and Mark Twain the most. They deeply satirize the darkness, hypocrisy, cruelty, and even perversion of society. They are very realistic. I feel that I can see what kind of people they are from their works. To be honest, they are much better than some unrealistic novels, and they are worth reading. (Personal opinion, I will not accept any refutation.)

Those so-called high-level people are actually worse than Ball of Suet.
