About This Novel

Structurally speaking, "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" is an excellent suspense novel. The novel begins with the appearance of "monsters" on the sea and frequently attacks ships from various countries, causing people to panic, and ends with the Nautilus being swallowed by the Atlantic whirlpool. The whole novel is full of suspense and interlocking. Although the underwater scenery displayed in the novel is charming, the reader, or the protagonist, is always confused by a mystery. He is always thinking and trying to solve this mystery: Who is Captain Nemo? Why does this talented engineer and knowledgeable scholar hate human society so much? What is his purpose in roaming the seabed? When is the end of the journey? Aronnax, Gong Saiyi and Ned Land's repeated escape efforts seem to have been inadvertently frustrated. Can they return to the earth and gain freedom? How will this journey to the bottom of the sea end?

The author should thank all Chinese teachers. If it were not for the homework assignment, no one would read this book.

Eighth grade! The soon-to-be eighth graders will leave a mark👣! Because when your eighth grade becomes a thing of the past, no one will force you to read it. When I read this book at that time, I was filled with emotions!

imaginary world

Jules Verne, the author of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, was a French science fiction writer with amazing imagination in the 19th century. What is amazing about him is not only the exaggerated, touching and scientific novels he wrote, but what is even more amazing are the stories he wrote in the books! Although it is no longer surprising today in the 21st century, in Verne's time, people had not yet invented a submarine that could swim underwater, and even electric lights had not yet appeared. Against this background, Verne successfully created the Nautilus submarine in Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. And 25 years after the novel was published, people built a real submarine that was similar to the one described in the novel. What kind of foresight and rich knowledge was this! In this way, with a feeling of reverence, I began to take the Nautilus submarine with the protagonist explorer and naturalist Arjunas in the book, and began his legendary undersea journey. Captain Nemo, the owner of the Nautilus, was a gloomy and knowledgeable man. Together they traveled around the Pacific, Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Mediterranean, Atlantic, Antarctic and Arctic Oceans, and encountered many rare undersea animals and plants, as well as undersea caves, secret passages and ruins, including the famous sunken city of Atlantis, an ancient civilization with a history and culture comparable to Greece. The book contains a lot of science, culture, geography, and geology. During the voyage, Arjunas revealed his admiration for Captain Nemo's outstanding talent and knowledge. But in the fascinating story, it also warns people that while seeing the benefits of science and technology to mankind, they should also pay attention to preventing behaviors that are exploited by bad people and endanger mankind's own crisis; it also proposes to protect marine life such as seals and whales, and condemns the concept of indiscriminate killing and fishing. These environmental protection topics, which are still hot today, have been advocated by prophets two hundred years ago. It can be seen that it leaves behind deeper thoughts about human justice. It is this book that allows readers to experience rich and colorful adventures and gain spiritual knowledge, inspiring us to gain greater gains in our hearts. The subtlety of this book also lies in the enlightenment of completely natural knowledge. Although the book tells a lot about the knowledge about the ocean, for example, the name Red Sea comes from the mucus secreted by a tiny organism called Trichosanthes in the sea, which makes the water color as red as blood. But none of it is very deliberate or difficult for readers to accept. It is just what they saw and heard during a trip. This allows people to firmly preserve various ideas and gains arising from the scenery. Not every science fiction novel is as highly readable as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. As a novel that is not fabricated out of thin air but is the result of foresight and erudition, it not only interprets their journey for readers who do not have detailed knowledge of the seabed, but also allows future generations to see the wisdom and civilization of the ancients. What a great book, I recommend everyone to read it!

Today, my mind suddenly came to mind when I saw Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.

This book is the first full-length novel I have read, yes, a long novel. The reason why I say this is because when I came in, I saw that many junior high school students said that this novel was not good at all, if it were not for the homework. . . The reason is probably that short-form articles on the Internet are now popular, often containing millions or even tens of millions of words. However, they are all verbiage and nonsense. After reading too much, readers will be assimilated. If I look at other genres, I can't get into them at all (me too)
