Two friends of mine met to climb the Himalayas. Everything went well and they both made it to the top. But soon, the storm came. They found that there was no way they could make it down alive. One of them used a satellite phone to call his pregnant wife. Together they decided what the baby in her belly would be called. Another man failed to contact anyone before he died. No one knows exactly what happened at the top of the mountain that afternoon. However, the climate on the mountain at an altitude of 8,000 meters is dry and cold. They were freeze-dried and lying there quietly will always remain the same as when I last saw them twenty-two years ago.
