Xia Yin
by Zhang Beihai
About This Novel
The original novel of Jiang Wen's movie "The Evil Will Not Suppress Right". Acheng, Wang Anyi, Wang Dewei, Luo Yijun, Xiao Fuxing, Liang Wendao, Jiang Wen, Zhang Sijia, Ma Jiahui and Xu Haofeng jointly recommended. The new edition includes a new postscript, in which the author Zhang Beihai answers guest questions and talks about the past and present life of "Xia Yin". A chivalrous story in the early years of the Republic of China resurrects the peak of Peking's prosperity in the text. After walking eight thousand miles of clouds and moons, the author looks back at the meticulous scrolls of old Beijing. The writing of "Xia Yin" lasted six years, with reference to hundreds of Chinese and English books about old Beijing. Therefore, the description of Peiping in the 1930s is conclusive and detailed. Every street, every door, every plant and every tree is consistent with the historical facts of the time, just like the city resurrected in Zhang Beihai's writings. Mr. Acheng praised "Xia Yin" for its "bone-to-bone texture" and "really beautiful".

Casual
I watched the movie's promotional video, strictly speaking, I watched it after listening to the theme song and seeing the recommendation.
Let's take a look and tell you!
How is this book?
I feel hungry just looking at it
As I read it, I was attracted by the food and drink in the novel. It's best not to read it while you're losing weight.
Very well written 👍
The remake of the movie is out now and is doing pretty well. . .
Secure! Excellent!
"When the swallows return, they can dissipate several storms; the sunset is speechless, and the most pity is that the country is empty." This cannot be regarded as a simple martial arts novel. Although the main line of the story is the pursuit of the murderer for thousands of miles, but I always feel that the martial arts and revenge in this book always seem a bit clumsy. It is not as elegant and joyful as the sword fighting, pleasure and grudges in traditional martial arts novels. "Xia Yin" is actually the disappearance of a martial arts world. Before the Anti-Japanese War, the city of Beiping was turbulent, and various forces took turns to appear. Although Zhang Beihai wrote about the troubled times, he focused more on the last good times before the storm, the setting sun in the ancient capital, the people in the alleys, and the people in the market. As Wang Dewei said in the preface, what Zhang Beihai wanted to write was "Beiping in his dream."
