The Secret Behind the U. S. Military Deployment in the Gulf
About This Novel
On the morning of July 16, 1990, Walter Lang Jr., The intelligence officer in charge of the Middle East and South Asia at the U. S. Defense Intelligence Agency, was at his desk analyzing satellite photos of the Middle East that had been sent earlier in the morning. One day ago, the desert areas in southeastern Iraq and north of Kuwait were empty and deserted, but today an Iraqi T-72 tank unit appeared. The photos also show that the railway lines are transporting various military equipment. Only President Saddam's elite Republican Guard in the Iraqi army possesses such advanced equipment. This guard is mainly responsible for the task of protecting the capital Baghdad and is usually stationed in central Iraq not far from the capital. So what are these tanks doing hundreds of miles away?
