Xiao Hong in "March in a Small Town" is known as the "Literary Goddess of the 1930s". She was the woman with the most tragic fate among the four talented women in the Republic of China, and she was also a legendary figure. Xiao Hong was an author highly praised by Lu Xun. Lu Xun and Mao Dun, both literary giants of the generation, respectively wrote prefaces to "The Biography of the Hulan River", which was a seminal work that confirmed Xiao Hong's literary status.
