In order to support their parents and sick husbands who are far away, they have no choice but to sell their bodies and souls. The author is a must-read figure in Neon Kingdom's reasoning. His writing is poetic, and the relatively plain plot reveals a touch of sadness. He sympathizes with women and can understand people's subtle emotions. As far as reasoning is concerned, he is more unexpected.

I have read it twice before, once in junior high school and once in high school. I don't remember much of the plot after it is over. I only remember the chapter "Tong Coffin", which was really shocking. If you re-read it, both "The Boat of Iris" and "The Love and Death of Yuhagi" are very touching, and the two reversals are wonderful. Especially the latter, "the furthest absence is death."
