About This Novel

This book is the follow-up product of the "Value Collection" series. The author adapted the novel based on the real experience of a sailor at that time. The story describes the protagonist, Robinson Crusoe, who sailed many times despite his parents' objections. He encountered a shipwreck on the way and was stranded on a desert island. He lived for 28 years. Finally, with the power of faith and tenacious will, he escaped from danger and returned to his hometown on a British ship. This novel is considered to be the first novel written in diary form in English and holds the title of "Britain's first realistic novel".
