A book that is very consistent with reality No matter how the times change, we have to face these things. It's just whether we can strengthen ourselves and obey a kind heart.

After reading this story to the end, I admire Julien's kind, simple, and intelligent character. Although Julien was born poor, he has a lofty ambition and a noble soul. In addition, I think this story is not only about the love story between Julien, Madame de Renal and Delamore. Stendhal more profoundly reflects the moral concepts of the upper class people in that period pursuing vanity and glitz. This also made me understand that a person's appearance does not represent everything, and inner sincerity is what we need in life.

The squandering flowers gradually become charming, and the character and behavior are a bit ridiculous.
I have been reading it intermittently for more than a year, and I finished reading it today. In that era, hereditary inheritance and plunder were quick ways to gain power and status, but those with low-born backgrounds had skills that could not be reused for a long time. This was novel in the eyes of the powerful but could not be respected. Julien's inner thoughts are destined not to match those of the upper echelons of society. His love is the product of the mutual yearning between the two classes and is destined not to have a good ending.
As long as you work hard and struggle, it's not scary even if you fail.
