About This Novel
Xu Wanjiang, the protagonist of the novel, is a woman struggling in the whirlpool of material and spiritual things. She and her husband were both dancers in the military area. Although they were poor, they were a happy couple. In order to let the family live a decent life, she discussed divorcing her husband and married a wealthy old American man she met by chance. For more than ten years, she quietly made money and immigrated her husband and children to the United States. Subconsciously, they hoped to save money to buy their own house and then kick the old man away and live a materially wealthy life of their own. However, in fact they couldn't do it. The husband spent all his wife's money but the investment failed, so he had to return to China disappointed. But Wan Jiang had to continue to suffer in despair, for the sake of her daughter or something she didn't know.

After reading the introduction, I didn't want to read it.
After reading the first 5 chapters, the plot revolves around the little things in life, and the psychological description of the characters is very good.
After reading the introduction, I feel that the heroine is miserable, and it's all in vain.

Wan Jiang was right. After leaving an incompetent man, it would be great if he could let go of that young love. The beautiful Wan Jiang deserves a better life.
