Have Fun
by (english) W. Somerset Maugham
About This Novel
"Pleasure" was first published in 1930. The title of the book comes from Sir Belcher's evaluation of Malvolio in Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night": "Do you think that because you are morally high, others can't have fun?" In "Aesop's Fables: The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse" cakes and Ale also only refers to a good life, "It is better to eat beans and bacon calmly than to swallow cakes and ale with fear." In the work "Ale", the writer Alroy Keel was influenced by the late writer Edward Driffield's second wife, Ale. Rice was invited to write a biography of her husband; in order to collect materials, Alroy contacted Driffield's acquaintance William Ashenden, who told Driffield's story, and a very important memory was about Driffield's first wife Rosie.
