As Raw as Mint
About This Novel
Qing'an's cell phone ran out of battery, the lightning stopped coming, and the room returned to darkness. But she could clearly still see the words on the wall, those words written by her father in blood. They were glowing and hot, they were burning like a fire, heating up her ice-cold body, but they were so hot that her whole body was melting from the inside out. She didn't want to move, so she just stood holding the wall, letting her body and mind burn and then cool down. When Xiao He walked out of the door holding the things she had packed for her father, the wind and rain had stopped. The moisture of the rain revived the vegetation in the yard that was on the verge of withering a while ago. A gust of wind passed by, and the bright green and serrated leaves swayed, like small mouths talking. She didn't know what they were saying. They were whispering to other grasses, she guessed.
