After the protagonist "I" woke up, he found that the police were questioning the explanation for the "fire" and burning of the files, and the gangs were crazy about the millions of drugs and stolen money that had "disappeared". "I" believed that he was a good policeman, but his colleagues didn't believe it, and neither did the gangsters. Some of the clues that "I" kept looking for also vaguely pointed to his own depravity. Combined with the text, it is mainly the appearance of the character "Time Traveler". This is a character who often talks nonsense and has no legitimate occupation. He considers himself "from the future to the present". His identity is somewhere between a beggar and an entertainer. He makes a living by singing and begging in hotels. The author named him "Lv Zheng" quite humorously. This character creates a set of opposites for "me" in the novel: completely giving up the past and focusing on the casual life in the present, which is obviously completely contrary to what "I" want to do to return to the past and retrieve memories. Therefore, everything "I" does is summarized through his reflection and expression. In fact, every time "I" return to the hotel and meet him, the contrast in the forms and states of both parties means a subtle twist in the plot of the novel. "I" is getting stronger and stronger, and he becomes elusive, that is, "I" is gradually solving the mystery and getting closer to the truth. At the end of the story, the "time traveler" chose to escape with "me" and died on the way "back to the future". At the connotative level, it uses the abstract meaning of its own name to express some indescribable emotions. And this emotion, together with the anxiety, hesitation, and loss that run throughout the novel, form a contradictory harmony. "Mystery Detective" is sunshine wrapped in darkness, with a sophisticated plot and full of positive energy. No matter what kind of adversity you are in, you must know who you are, what you are fighting for, what you are trekking for, what are your dreams, beliefs and missions, and what are your original intentions. I believe we will find the answer and it will become clearer and clearer.
