Paradox 13
About This Novel
"Paradox 13" is a rare apocalyptic-themed suspense work among Keigo Higashino's works. It is known as the long-lost masterpiece since "The Devotion of Suspect X". Tokyo. Black Friday, March 13, 13:13:13. Police officer Fuyuki was shot while arresting gangsters, but the next moment he found that he was still alive and uninjured, but everyone else had disappeared out of thin air. Fires and accidents were everywhere, and the city was in ruins. He searched everywhere and met 12 other survivors one after another, and everyone gathered together to survive. The situation is getting worse and worse: the country and society have been wiped out. Typhoons, tsunamis, earthquakes, and diseases are attacking in turn. Some people are fighting among themselves and some are dying. The whole world seems to be trying its best to eliminate them. Just when the team was on the verge of collapse, they got a chance to escape with only 13 seconds.

have a question
According to the book, starting at one point thirteen seconds, it will disappear in the next thirteen seconds. All matter that has thoughts, or is driven by thinking creatures, will regress to thirteen seconds ago, and they will return to the world of thirteen seconds. In other words, the black hole energy has not changed, p13 The phenomenon will happen again, won't people be trapped in these thirteen seconds forever... Until the end of time, but there is no such thing as the end of time
In order to balance the p-13 distortion, the universe resets the distorted parallel time to the time point that occurred before. The "intelligence" that dies in the parallel space will also die in the original world. Assuming that all "intellects" that exist in parallel time and space survive, the survivors will be pulled back to the reset point on p-13, such as the save in the game. One thing I don't understand is that if Jiuga hadn't discovered the truth, would the sanctions of the law be delayed, because before they knew the truth, they had no memory of the previous "distorted" time, but after knowing the truth, the memory was opened... Also, the "intelligence" that returned alive seemed to be the memory sealed in parallel time and space by some kind of force. This is puzzling, but if their memory was opened again, would some kind of force really eliminate all "intelligence" in order to maintain a certain balance?
paradox
"I don't want to lose you." "Mr. Seiya, you are too cunning."
Once again, I deeply admire Uncle Higashino. He played with astrophysics and mathematics in 13 seconds, with strict logic. On the other hand, he deeply explained morality, civilization and human nature. At the same time, the imaginative part was almost not off track at all. Detective novelist Uncle Higashino was able to write such a special science fiction novel! I'm still convinced!
Very beautiful, divergent thinking
A good book with rich content
The dead understand life better than the living
Paradox 13 The world is what the living are looking forward to, and what the dead are looking forward to escaping from. It is very similar to the two realms of Yin and Yang in the East. The price of entrance tickets is very high, but the exit is ordinary. Only dreams with results are impressive. Yes, this is a dream, a dream of the living and a dream of the dead.
This is a doomsday novel
It has nothing to do with the Paradox Time Jump Black Hole. It tells the story of the survival of the only remaining people after the time jump occurs.
Higashino's novels
Higashino's novels are basically of good quality.
It's crazy to think of living in a place where there's no other living things.
Couldn't Seiya, a calm person like him, realize this? Even if he managed to get to the outskirts, he still wouldn't have enough food. It would take at least a year to sow seeds. During this period, there would be no animals to hunt, so the food would be consumed quickly. In winter, there would be no fur to keep out the cold. And if the city was destroyed, there would be no way to obtain clothes. You would have to cultivate cotton, linen and other things yourself. Rather than agreeing to commit suicide from the beginning, it would be better to agree to commit suicide from the beginning.
