About This Novel
The Xijiang River has traversed several provinces since ancient times, and its water system connects Guangdong and Guangxi. There is an old city on the north bank called "Yumenfang". It has been erected on the river for hundreds of years. Because of its high terrain, when the tide rises every spring and summer, it looks like an isolated island floating in the sky and water, and has never been swallowed up by floods. The elders in the neighborhood said that it was thanks to the "Chongtian Pagoda" erected on the stone hill outside Yumenfang: Legend has it that fifty years ago, the Xijiang River was flooded for many years, and a Qingwu warlock came all the way "looking for dragons".
