"American Style Murder" is a documentary book. It uses Russell, a former detective of the Los Angeles Homicide Squad, to investigate the murders of famous rappers Tupac and "Big Boy" as clues. It peels away from the chaos and speaks with investigative facts. It not only shows the chaos of the rap industry in Los Angeles in the 1990s, but also reflects the fact that the American judiciary is extremely corrupt. Russell spent nearly 20 years collecting evidence and was about to reveal the truth. He was invited to a meeting at the Los Angeles Regional Police Station, but died suddenly at the police station. Russell's friend Michael wrote a book about his and Russell's investigation process and the results of the investigation, not only to commemorate Russell, but also to present the truth.
