About This Novel
In the early morning of April 4, 1919, Butler Lu got up very early. After washing up for a while, he went to the front yard. That's where the servants live. As the general manager of this mansion, he has a lot of things to do, especially these days after Mrs. Mei is hospitalized. The air outside is crisp and clear, and there seems to be a drizzle that occasionally sprinkles on the head. Butler Lu was walking on the bluestone road. When passing by the garden, he glanced inside inadvertently. In the dim light of the morning sun, he saw a black thing in front of the rockery in the garden. He didn't know what it was, so he couldn't help but take a few steps inside. When he finally saw it clearly, he couldn't help but be surprised.
