I haven't seen the setting before, I think it's quite interesting.
The subject matter is quite good, but the main thing is that your protagonist is an alien, not a native of the country. Your compulsory armor is combined with some high technology from other anime, or it is biotechnology that causes trouble in other worlds. Or an original plot will do. It's just that it's a bit unpopular because it has an outsider protagonist.
