New book by the author of Soul Painter The Soul Painter is a starting point novel that I quite like (although I haven't finished it yet). The author can vividly describe the distorted picture from various angles. This requires a certain amount of imagination and talent. Simply piling up words will only make the article full of twisted, gibbering and crazy. At present, the background design of this novel is very complicated. On the one hand, the background of the era is a mixture of various schools of thought, but the dynasty is the Zhou Dynasty. However, apart from the representatives of various factions being used in the works, there is no connection with real history. Because there are so many elements, it's hard to summarize, so I'll just talk about what I like: 1. Atmosphere: The atmosphere that took place in Yanghu Academy in the early dozens of chapters was created to be particularly urgent and terrifying. From the weird and unclear wording of the power system, to the more mysteries that emerge as things develop, to the strange classmates who all have secrets around them, this reading experience is the unique charm of the horror/supernatural/gram genre. 2. Characters: I think the character Ying is well written. While he himself has strange characteristics in this world, he is also a positive moonlight-like character who helps the protagonist. At the same time, the subsequent treatment of this character will be of great help to the improvement of the protagonist's character. The protagonist himself is an ordinary student, and all his behaviors in this environment are consistent with his identity. How does this kind of protagonist struggle back from the edge of collapse in such an environment, self-hypnosis after being hit, and the calm but epileptic state when facing the truth. But at the same time, he is very reliable and will not make you wonder why this person is so stupid. In the middle and later stages of the school, the protagonist gave me the impression that he was in a mental state of writing a thesis with a high fever. He knew what he wanted to do and was doing it, but the feeling of instability was very obvious. Note: After leaving the academy and entering the city, the pacing and narrative style change. If the early reading experience is weird, this part is completely different from the beginning. The power system is revealed more, the character development is easier, and there are relatively more confrontations and conflicts. The wording and shaping are obviously a bit crazy and relaxed. Personally, my interest is greatly reduced. As a new book, the beginning of it is very complete. But we have to read slowly about the subsequent development.

I finished reading it in one go. The first copy was pretty good and it felt a bit like an upgrade after the copy came out. Let's continue reading it. It's not easy to find novels that I can read now.
