
About This Novel
The story takes place in London in April 1946, a time when the panic caused by air raids still lingered in the hearts of London citizens. After losing his beloved wife in an air raid, Ralph Conroy passed the time by racing and betting on horses. One night, he received a strange letter from his friend Philip Macdonald, asking him to go to a remote neighborhood in London overnight for an inexplicable date. He also asked him to "play it by ear and not to confront anyone." Ralph followed the instructions in his friend's letter one by one... And didn't want what was waiting for him to be a complete nightmare. His behavior aroused the suspicion of a police officer, and he had to use force to escape; in a mysterious blue Ford car, one of the passengers seemed to be his late wife of five years, Josephine; in the end, the owner and guests of the date place actually mistook him for another person...

Paul Holt is so awesome. It's more exciting than the two books I've read before. Everything seems extremely ridiculous, but it's intertwined with each other. The plot is bizarre and there are twists and turns. The detailed description of the feelings for Josephine in the previous chapter is a foreshadowing. This adventure game is worth watching...
