Cultural Journey

About This Novel
The book "Cultural Journey" was first published in 1992. It is a work written by Mr. Yu Qiuyu during his lectures and inspections at home and abroad in the 1980s. It is his first collection of cultural essays. The whole book mainly consists of two parts, one is historical and cultural essays, and the other is memory essays. As soon as it was published, the book was loved by thousands of readers for its brilliant literary talent, rich knowledge and unique insights. This created a generation of "historical prose" style of writing, allowing the world to regain the value of Chinese culture. His prose is unique, seeing things that ordinary people have never seen, and thinking that ordinary people have never thought of. He is good at taking readers step by step into the long river of history and culture in his beautiful words, enlightening philosophical thinking and arousing emotions. It has extremely high aesthetic value, historical and cultural value. Many articles in the book were later selected as middle school textbooks. However, due to the great influence of this book, while it has brought countless halo and fans to Mr. Yu Qiuyu, it has also brought countless troubles and piracy. His fame spreads all over the world, but his "slander" also goes with him. Exhausted both physically and mentally, Mr. Yu Qiuyu decided to personally revise and re-edit this book. The new edition of "Cultural Journey" is a revised and self-selected collection of Mr. Yu Qiuyu's 30 years of historical and cultural prose, with 18 new articles. Among them, the classics such as "Taoist Tower", "Mogao Grottoes" and "Dujiangyan" that were selected as textbooks have all been rewritten and revised. Compared with the old version, the new version contains more than two-thirds of the new and rewritten chapters, which is a brand new reading experience and humanistic enjoyment for both new and old readers. It can be called the perfect crystallization of Yu Qiuyu's 30 years of unremitting cultural investigation and life thinking.

I read it intermittently, maybe this is the beauty of prose. Don't worry, after a few days, you will forget all the previous content and have to start over. What I remember most is the profound feeling revealed between the lines. In one sentence, it would be-- A book written by an out-and-out literati, an out-and-out literati. It has both the pretentiousness of the literati and the deep affection of the literati. Yes, reading this book has added something new to my thoughts. Although these new things cannot be caught or explained clearly, it is good that they can be kept in our hearts. Maybe when you see something and have a certain emotion, you will suddenly think of this book. OK, that's it. Ps: Just leave a small paw print to show that you have really read this book.
This is the second time I have read this book. I am now a junior in college. The first time I read it was in my freshman year. After reading it, I didn't have any impression. I re-read it this time after hearing it mentioned by my roommate, but when I thought about it, I had no impression of it at all. Mr. Yu Qiuyu's gentle and elegant pen and ink carefully describe the history that has gradually moved away from us. Some of it is not history, but civilization. It will always belong to the civilization of the Chinese nation. Even though a lot has been lost due to various reasons such as war and chaos, the soul of the nation has not changed. I believe that as long as there are Chinese people around, these civilizations will exist forever.
What is the purpose of learning? I have no idea. Maybe to explore an unknown world. Maybe it's to satisfy my curiosity. I don't know, but I want to learn more. Keep studying the wonderful writing.
I really cried in the Taoist Tower chapter
The Taoist priest surnamed Wang painted the murals white, and the Taoist Wang sold the Dunhuang documents and scriptures at a low price... Those foreigners traveled thousands of miles to come to China just to bring those scriptures back to the country... Seeing this, an emotion called sadness arose in my heart. I felt not only sad for the ignorance of the Taoist priest, but also sad for the incompetence of the motherland at that time. Thinking that there were countless Taoist kings on the Chinese mainland at that time, and a large amount of cultural heritage flowed to the West, tears fell down... There was sadness, anger, and hatred in my heart, but that period has become the past and history. We cannot change the past, but we can create a better future for our motherland. I hope that more people will discover the beauty of traditional culture and love traditional culture in the future! (This is my first impression of reading Cultural Journey. Of course, there are still many complex emotions in my heart that cannot be expressed in writing)

Reading a good book is hard-won. The true and beautiful words help me really calm down during the holidays, which is great. I also like Yu Qiuyu's attitude towards things. There is always something in the eyes of a writer that you can't see. Words are truly amazing things.
Cultural journey
Reading deeply about the cultural journey is like experiencing a different life, and it is deeply touching. There are few writers in contemporary China who can connect culture and life so closely. Every step of the journey is a journey, and it is also an interesting and awe-inspiring life path.
After months of immersing themselves in brick-like classics, the feet that have been accustomed to running on mountain roads since childhood will silently resist. What follows is a sudden desire to release oneself to the sky and the earth, which fills the heart, eyes, and ears.
People are really strange. When I live in a small room, my mind is filled with daydreams about thousands of miles away. But when I am writing about my travels to famous mountains and rivers, there are often some small and quiet dots vaguely in front of my eyes. Maybe it is an old man I meet by chance, maybe it is a bird that always stops next to me and cannot be chased away, maybe it is a haystack that makes me doze off.
Reading and traveling may seem boring and lonely, but for me, it is actually a kind of spiritual sublimation, and the resonance is the ultimate enjoyment of the soul again and again.
There is a stone mantle in the cave, with countless fossils of corals, shells, and conches embedded in it. It has been determined that hundreds of millions of years ago, this was the bottom of the sea. For this stone curtain, the arrival, departure, and return of human beings are indeed just a moment.
