About This Novel
Even I have a hard time explaining what it is about that land that attracts me. When I suddenly flew from the perennially gray and gloomy sky in Chengdu into the sunshine of the plateau, when I stepped off the plane and saw the familiar blue sky, and breathed in the cool but extremely fresh air, I knew that I had been longing to see it again. I couldn't help but open my whole body and mind and say to it: Hello, Tibet! The magical plateau stood in front of me with an eternal desolation. This desolation contains a power that is difficult for humans to conquer, and a mystery that I cannot understand and enter. Under the vast sky, the ratio of people to land has undergone fundamental changes. The sky and the earth always meet at the end of the sight, showing a true sense of vastness and desolation.
