Blood Spring Mud
About This Novel
This book takes the flames of the Anti-Japanese War as the background and focuses on the magnificent experience of Lin Wan, a female war reporter. In the tragic Battle of Shipai, she witnessed the heroic sacrifice of young soldier Shitou and New Fourth Army health worker Hong Yao to defend the position and protect their comrades. She was deeply shocked and wrote the newsletter "The Flower of Blood". Later, Lin Wan moved to the Changde battlefield, which was also filled with smoke. Here, she met Tie Shuan, a veteran who stood firm, and rescued Xiao Hua, a little girl who had lost her loved ones with a seed in a cat's ear hole. She escorted Xiaohua to transfer, and along the way she walked with students, wounded people, and villagers who were protecting important book editions. She went through hardships, encountered enemy attacks, and witnessed the fearless sacrifice and tenacious protection of ordinary people such as Tieshuan, the old woman, and Erniu in desperate situations. With the mission of recording the truth of sacrifice and protecting the hope of life, Lin Wan held a blood-stained notebook (which contained seeds symbolizing vitality) and led the team through the scorched earth and finally arrived at Jimingyi. She used her pen as a gun to record the "heroic flowers" blooming on the bloody land, and swore the oath of "I will protect you as a flower", conveying her unyielding spirit and endless hope in the flames of war.
