Jinzhong has culture but lacks it. To say "cultured" means that Jinzhong has a profound cultural accumulation, and there are many historical and cultural resources, especially humanistic resources, that can be explored and utilized; to say it lacks culture means that the development and utilization of this kind of culture, especially humanistic resources, are not enough in the relevant aspects of society. Jinzhong has done fruitful work in utilizing Shanxi merchant culture, mainly in developing several Shanxi merchant compounds such as Wang Family and Qiao Family as tourist attractions, and in developing Mianshan Mountain. However, there are obvious deficiencies in the development, protection and utilization of other humanistic resources. This conclusion may be a bit arbitrary, or it may be "overgeneralizing", but this is what I felt when I visited Han Xin's tomb, Qi Huangyang's tomb, Luo Guanzhong's hometown and Wang Yun's tomb in Jinzhong.
