About This Novel
People's first foot steps out onto the sidewalk. Cars were still passing by one after another. People took another small tentative step. The flow of traffic blocked people's way forward, and the old man behind was still moving staggeringly. The child held his mother's hand tighter. The vehicle in front of him made him confused, and he only moved a little towards his mother. Father's backpack seemed to become heavier. He could not take the next step and could only wait. The young man stood at the front, like a suicide squad, taking a few strides to leap over a relatively gentle car. Finally, a row of people stood in the middle of the road. A large group of people were still waiting at the edge of the sidewalk. No one knew what they were waiting for, but they could only wait. The cars were still driving like that. No driver looked up at the traffic light, and no driver slowed down because of the crowd crossing the road. They sat calmly in the car, thinking about their journey.
