A Village Shrouded in Terror: Dead Birds
by Li Ximin
About This Novel
A series of strange things happened in Akaban City this autumn. A huge black cloud enveloped the central square, and the flowers withered in an instant... On such a night, Evening News reporter Shi Ping received a strange anonymous phone call. The strange things on the phone brought Shi Ping to the remote ash village. The entire countryside was shrouded in an atmosphere of confusion and terror. Two girls committed suicide with smiles back to back in the sun. Birds one after another suddenly fell to their deaths inexplicably. The shrill soul-calling sound floated in the autumn wind in the middle of the night... What spread the breath of death throughout the countryside?

The ending is too perfunctory
The beginning is full of suspense, tension and excitement, but the ending at the end reveals nothing. It digs so many pits, but the final outcome is that these pits are of no use.
I finally finished reading it and spent hundreds of book coupons
The ending is less clearly explained and far-fetched.
The suspenseful atmosphere is okay, digging the hole is good, but "filling the hole" is a bit far-fetched.
At first I thought it was a detective novel I kept guessing that it was the murderer. The final ending is too bloody
Not bad.
