About This Novel

Chi'an is the name of a small mountain village. It is located in the deep folds of the Taihang Mountains at the junction of the three provinces of Shanxi, Hebei and Henan. It is like a honeycomb, simple and rich, hanging silently on the high cliff, soaked in wind and rain, and clinging to the sunshine. There is a river at the foot of the small village called Zhanghe River. The Zhanghe River flows down mightily, making a roaring sound. The noise is recorded in history and flows in the Book of Songs. As a result, there is the gentleness of the willows of the mulberry pickers, and the heroism of the overlord of Chu who broke the cauldron and sank the boat. The Zhang River has always been a big river in history. Together with the Yellow River, it nurtured the vast culture of the Central Plains.
