"The Philosophy of Epiphyllum" is a collection of essays by Singaporean female writer You Jin. It is divided into six series: "The World in a Bowl" revolves around the theme of food, showing family, friendship, national conditions and travel; "The Man Waiting for the Flag" tells the story of the author's encounter with friends in a foreign land, and writes about all kinds of living things with laughter and tears; "Every inch of land is a story" writes fascinating stories about foreign lands, as well as amazing customs, shocking ugly human nature, and surprising warm feelings; "The Paradise on Earth" contains some interesting short stories, including joy, anger, sorrow, beauty, ugliness, good and evil. "The Philosophy of Epiphyllum" looks at life and writes about life through exquisite and detailed essays, including children's education and other issues. The essays in "Sweet and Salty Life" bring out the author's life beliefs and philosophy in a solemn and harmonious manner, with quite a lot of painstaking efforts to hide needles in the cotton and the creative purpose of "coptis wrapped in sugar".
