About This Novel

"Jia Pingwa's Travels" is a fine collection of Mr. Jia Pingwa's 40 years of travel prose writing - vegetation, mountains, rocks, wasteland gardens, encounters or pursuits, admiration or regret, loneliness or freedom; the panorama reproduces the living conditions and mental state of people in one era, and perfectly explains the beauty of a "traveler"'s self and the world.

It's a good read, at least it's not boring.

The joy of life is to be good at discovering the joy and pain in life

Domestic contemporary writers still prefer Jia Pingwa. I especially like "Qin Opera." Compared with novels, are essays easier to read? After reading two collections of essays by the author in succession, I can feel the loneliness the author chose. The so-called author said that writing must have roots, and the author finally took root in his hometown of Shangluo.
