I don't like the later plot development,
The supporting characters are written with more personality than the protagonist. I can't understand the male protagonist at all, the hatred of his parents that he abandoned, the responsibilities that his father left behind, the martial arts skills, and even the only friend left is the crippled Wen Hua. In the end, it gave me the feeling that it was a forced tragedy (although the tragedy is more literary).
