About This Novel

In the early days of the second industrial revolution, Alice, a seven-year-old girl from the slums, was sold to a manufacturing factory by her parents. She escaped several times, half of her cheeks were burned, and wandered many times on the criminal road of begging and theft. Later, with the help of her savage stepfather, she disguised her identity and sneaked into an aristocratic women's college in the suburbs of London. In order to survive, her hypocritical relatives, indifferent teachers, and friends who could not understand each other successively became her sacrifices along the way. However, on her 16th birthday, a copy of Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" caught her attention. As the sun was setting, she fell into that afternoon of green trees, sunshine and reading. She dreamed of a white rabbit who did not dare to reveal her identity and fell in love with an introverted blond girl. The girl loved her sister who read fairy tale books to her, and Alice herself fell in love with the white rabbit...

I accidentally clicked in, but unexpectedly found that it was good-looking, not the same kind of horror. The article is very in-depth, do you feel there is something in the words? Decided to pursue it!

I usually don't waste time doing book reviews, but I made an exception this time. The biggest regret for an author is that no one cares about his work when he is full of enthusiasm. He becomes famous only after his enthusiasm fades and he starts to deal with it. Think of Conan Doyle. The peak of Sherlock Holmes was the moment he fell off the cliff, and he was not taken seriously at that time. After that, the enthusiasm faded and I was invited by the editor to write a sequel, but it couldn't live up to the charm of the beginning. I hope my book review can give the author motivation to continue reading
