The first picture you posted above was completely filled with water. I don't even know how to write it, and there can't be any weapons or the like in the battle for souls. They are just fighting to devour each other with their souls and wills. How could they bring their own weapons? Another way is to just use massive amounts of memories to directly destroy their soul imprints. Why open the sea of souls to them? It's completely nonsense. How do you say it's completely water?
